C. H. P. writes :—
"I have had the No.10v Engine for 5 years, and it has run on an average five nights a week, six hours a night. I am running the engine in our town on Saturday night for the Hospital, so I want it to be at its best, and show them what the Stuart No. 10 can do, and the workmanship of your parts.

This is literally a miniature No.1. Almost every feature is replicated in small size. Other than the number of bolts used to secure each part the only differences are; a combined Eccentric Strap and Rod No Valve Rod Guide and the steam inlet being mounted to the front of the Valve Chest Cover. This is very common with the early version. Later engines had the S logo cast into the rough round recess.

N. K. writes :—
"I may say that some time ago I purchased a No.10 Horizontal Steam Engine set 3/4-in. for x 3/4-in. stroke from you which when finished, turned out to be a very sweet running and powerful little plant, and delighted everyone to whom I showed it. Although having no previous knowledge of steam engineering, the finishing of your machined castings set did not present the slightest difficulty, every part being so accurately turned out by you."

F. B. F. writes :—
"I now have your No. 504 Boiler put together and think it is a first-rate steamer as I have got it driving an S.50 Engine and Dynamo. The exhaust steam is then taken to a pair of No. 10 Horizontal Engines made upright and left-hand coupled together, thus using the steam like a compound engine. Am very pleased with all the goods you have supplied."
